For those of you who have worked with Kids Party Finder for some time, you will know that we like to do our bit to give back. The colouring book initiative plus support of children’s wards throughout the UK at Christmas 2020 being two such examples.

Continuing this theme, we are excited to now be supporting the Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.

It has been well publicised the pressures the NHS has faced since March 2020. The Covid-19 pandemic has taken its toll on the brilliant staff that look after patients and the resources available in hospitals. More than ever, we feel the NHS needs support.

Covering the West Midlands and beyond, the Birmingham’s Children Hospital looks after over 90,000 children a year. In terms of patients looked after, it is second only to Great Ormand Street Hospital in London. In the charity’s own words:

‘We have an amazing hospital with brilliant, compassionate staff who work incredible hard to deliver the very best treatment and care to our patients and their families. But we can always do more’.

It is the ‘…we can always do more’ part of that statement where we want Kids Party Finder to help. Already we are personally committing financial support to the charity. But we, our fantastic network, want to do more. And we believe that we can.

A main priority area for the charity is to improve the patient and family experience. Many of us are parents or work with young children, the thought of a little one ending up in hospital is upsetting. In particular, the charity wants to focus on creative playful environments for children, to allow patient and their families to make happy and lasting memories, as well as respite from medical treatments.

We will be working closely with the charity in regards to events they hold for the children or fundraising events. Where possible we would like our network to help support these events. By doing this, not only can we help create those lasting memories, bringing happiness to little ones and their families at a difficult time, we can also spread the reach of the charity.

We will let suppliers know how they can help through out networking groups and our social media. In the meantime, you can find out more about the charity here and you are able to contact them here if there is anything you are able to do to support them.
